The first EuroMillions lottery draw occurred in February of 2004. It’s been several year now and there still hasn’t been any big winners in Luxembourg. Why is that? Why are there never any EuroMillions lottery winners in Luxembourg? Why do winners always seem to come from England, Spain, or France?
If you live in Luxembourg and have been playing EuroMillions, perhaps you’re getting frustrated that the winners always seem to be from one of the other countries. Maybe you’re even thinking about quitting the game since nobody from your country ever wins. Don’t quit, there’s a very good reason why there’s more winners in countries such as England, Spain, and France.
The population of Luxembourg is only about 485,000 people. The population of, say, England is about 61 million people. That means that England is about 125 times bigger, in terms of population. It is only natural that it will also have a lot more winners than a small country of just 485,000 people. The same goes for countries such as Spain and France - More people means more tickets bought, which means more winners.
What does this mean for you if you are a EuroMillions player in Luxembourg? It means that it is only natural that your country has had no big winners yet. But don’t worry, the lottery is not fixed. There will be a big winner from your country one day. It may take a while, but it will happen. So keep buying your tickets and it might be you!
